Head chef Khadim Hussain has more than 20 years experience, having worked in Pakistani and Malaysian restaurants before settling in Western Australia 10 years ago.
Mr Hussain said he was very excited about giving the people of Geraldton a taste of Indian culture and cuisine.
His specialties range from lamb rogan josh and vindaloo to butter chicken and tikka masala.
Owner Trevor Melotte said there had been a huge amount of interest from the public who were “hanging out for it to open”.
Business partner Linda Ross encouraged those who had never tasted Indian food to give it a try.
“It’s about spices, not heat, and a whole new range of flavours.
“If anyone is hesitant, just try one of the milder dishes first,” she said.
The a la carte restaurant is fully licensed and offers the option of takeaway meals.
